What Happens After You Order

Buying a handmade jacket online is a bigger decision than buying off the rack, so we like to be clear about exactly what happens after you click "Pay". Here's the journey from your order to your door.

1. You get an order confirmation

As soon as you place your order, we email you a confirmation with your order number. Keep it handy, because you'll use it if you need to contact us. Orders placed after 5:00 PM Eastern Time are processed the next business day.

2. Send us your details (custom orders only)

If you chose Customise Size (made to measure), or a jacket with custom text or embroidery, email info@whiteburaq.com with your order number and:

For made to measure: your chest, shoulders, sleeve length, waist, hips and jacket length. Our size guide shows how to measure.
For custom text: the exact wording, spelling and any color or placement you'd like.

If anything looks unusual, we'll contact you before we start. For a fully custom design, we confirm the price and timeline with you first.

3. Your jacket is prepared or made by hand

In-stock styles are packed and shipped from Duluth, Georgia within 3–7 business days.

Made-to-order styles and custom sizes are handmade in our family workshop and also ship within 3–7 business days. Each jacket is cut, stitched and finished by hand, fitted with YKK zips and the hardware and lining the style calls for, then checked by hand before it's packed. See how your jacket is made.

4. It ships, and you get tracking

When your jacket ships, we email you a tracking number and link.

US orders travel by express courier, DHL or FedEx, and usually arrive 3–5 business days after dispatch (about 6–12 business days in total).
Orders to other countries usually arrive 5–8 business days after dispatch.

Delivery times are estimates, and carriers or customs can occasionally add a day or two.

5. Shipping costs and duties

Shipping is free on every order within the US. For jackets shipped from our workshop, we pay all US import duties and customs fees, so you won't be asked for money on delivery. Outside the US, shipping is a flat $35 and takes 5–8 business days; for Europe, import duties and taxes are paid to the courier on delivery (see our shipping policy). Any sales tax is shown at checkout before you pay.

6. When your jacket arrives

Hang it up on a wide, padded hanger. Any creases from the box relax on their own within a few days.
The leather smell is normal. It's a sign of real, freshly finished leather and fades with time.
Try it on with the tags still attached until you're sure of the fit, because returns need the tags on.

7. If something isn't right

Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery for unused items in their original packaging, with all tags attached.
If an item arrives damaged or incorrect, we cover the return shipping.
Refunds are made to your original payment method within 10 business days of receiving your return.
We don't do direct exchanges. To change a size or style, return the original and place a new order.

Need to change something?

If you need to change your size, address or custom details, email us as soon as possible, ideally before your jacket goes into production. We reply within 24 hours on business days.
